Science and Social Studies

Science

We will be using the ECA Science Kit Program. Our units of study for the year are Plant Growth, Sound, and Chemical Tests. These are hands-on, inquiry-based programs. Each student will have a lab book to accompany the unit.

 

Social Studies

Social Studies focuses on the regions of the United States, map skills, the Five Themes of Geography, and the Core Democratic Values: Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness, Common Good, Diversity, and Justice.

 

We will explore a majority of the Social Studies concepts through literature and investigative studies throughout the year.
