As you can see I am an avid fan of Michigan football! Actually, I enjoy every sport involving The University of Michigan. I graduated from The U of M with a B.A. in Psychology and International Studies a few moons ago. As part of my undergraduate studies I was fortunate enough to study in Germany for a summer. (That would explain the ever-present german word in my office: notwendigkeit. Ask me what it means and I'll be happy to tell you!) After working in various mental health positions for a few years and teaching at the high school level I went on to receive my M.A. in Guidance & Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. Fortuitous circumstances found me involved as a counselor at the elementary level back in 1992. I've been at the elementary level ever since! And I absolutely LOVE it!

I reside here in Saline with my best friend and wife, Jenny, as well as with our terrific children. Mickey is a ninth-grader at the high school. Katie is a seventh-grader at the new middle school (old saline high school). And Benjamin is starting first grade at Houghton. I love cats, Red Wing hockey, rocks, quotes, books, and pens! Whew! I'm busy with all those things! But when I get a chance I always try to get up to the Upper Peninsula just to sit back and relax, refresh, and freeze in Lake Superior!
