NO SUMMER MEETINGS

Dear Parents,

The Saline Area Athletic Booster Club is an active contributor to the Athletic progams in the Saline Area Schools. Our efforts benefit student athletes in all sports. The bulk of our funding comes from three primary sources: membership dues, the lottery (an annual fundraiser) and concession stand sales at the football games.

Some the projects the the Saline Area Booster Club has helped fund:

• a major upgrade of the high school weight room
• $10,000 donation for irrigation systems
• $3000 donation for the purchase of the Gator (4-wheeler) that the trainer uses to monitor outdoor events
• 1/3 of the cost of the basketball hoop return system
• four annual scholarships to graduating seniors
• a scoreboard used for track, swimming, and cross country
• $7500 seed money for the purchase of a new Hornet van
• $400 CONTRIBUTION TO HELP WITH PURCHASE OF 4 NEW GOLF BAGS!
• $800 contribution in 2005 to purchase 8 NEW VARSITY GOLF BAGS!

The Booster Club meets on the second Monday of each month from September through May in the High School library at 7:30 pm. Our goal is to have each athletic team represented by a team parent at each meeting. Please consider being a volunteer.

If you are interested, please look for membership forms which can be found in the Fall Sports Magazine, during parent meetings for each sport, and during the Freshmen/New Student Orientation meeting in late August.
