Grading Scale

I grade on a four-point scale.
4’s- mean your child has mastered the task and did an outstanding job.
3’s- mean your child has a pretty good grasp on the subject and “gets
it” most of the time.
2’s- can mean one of two things: a) we, as class, are just introducing
the subject matter or b) your child turned in something that was not his/her
best.
1’s- mean there is work to be done, and your child does not “get” something.
(Don’t worry 1’s are usually preventable and I do my absolute
best to eliminate them all together.)
0’s- mean either the assignment was not turned in or was a ‘no-
name’ assignment.
*Late assignments receive a 0 unless further discussed.
