Statistics Notebook Policy

 

Notebooks are very important in this class.

I will grade your notebook in various ways based on overall organization, completeness and neatness. I will pay special attention to way you take notes during lecture and class discussion.

Your notebook should be divided into the sections stated below. Please designate one notebook just for your Statistics class. Here are the sections you need:

General Information

 

•  course description
•  class policies on homework and notebooks
•  grade sheets
•  math teams
•  list of homework assignments

 
Notes

 

•  date at beginning of each lesson
•  warm-up problems
•  title of lesson
•  all definitions and examples given on the board
•  practice problems

 

Homework

 

•  all assignments organized by date
•  complete set of assignments (graded and not graded)

 

Quizzes

 

•  arranged in chronological order
•  corrections shown

Miscellaneous

 

•  all items organized by date
•  record of group grade

 
Journal

 

•  thoughtful writing on given issue
•  legible writing!
