Honors Algebra III
Policy
| 1. |
All work is due on or before the due date.
|
| 2. |
At the top of each assignment, write your name, the date and the required problem numbers. All work is to be complete. This includes showing appropriate steps for problems in a neat and organized manner, and writing complete, thoughtful sentences when needed. In addition, work must reflect the methods and processes given in class and in the textbook. All homework assignments (those collected and those not collected) must be kept in the student's notebook in the "Homework" section. All work is to be done in pencil.
|
| 3. |
Work which meets the above two criteria will receive a grade of 100%. (On some occasions partial credit will be given if the student falls short on criterion #2.) I reserve the right to grade certain homework assignments for correctness and to assign points to those assignments appropriately.
|
| 4. |
Each student will be given one "late pass" for work during marking period one. A student may turn in any one assignment one day late for any reason with no penalty.
|
| 5. |
If a student does not use the late pass during the marking period, if
the overall average of the homework is 90% or better, and if there are
no missing assignments, then he or she will receive a bonus 30 pt. quiz
score of 100%
|
| 6. |
If a student uses the late pass and subsequently turns in an assignment late and/or incomplete, no credit will be given. The teacher's record book will show that the work was submitted, but no grade will be recorded. |
| 7. | If a student is absent x days, then he/she has x days to make-up the work without penalty and without using a late pass. |
