Welcome to Honors Science!

This unit students will be investigating Static and Current electricity. Students will learn about basic atomic structure and how charges interact. Students will learn about electric forces and fields. Students will learn about potential difference and various sources of voltage. As an application, students will make a electrochemical cell out of a lemon! Students will investigate current, learn how Ohm's Law determines current in a circuit, and study the similarities and differences between parallel and series circuits. As an application, students will build simple circuits and measure current and voltage in the circuit.Readings for this unit are found in chapters 32-35 of the textbook.

Quizzes will take place on 11/21
There will be NO Test for this unit.
The FINAL EXAM for this class will take place on 11/24
