What exactly does the RBE Program entail?

The RBE Program consists of a series of group-oriented activities. We will be starting the morning by participating in activities to get group members acquainted with on another so, later in the day we can work as a team. Throughout the day, members of the program will be faced with more challenging activities which will consist of them setting goals, playing roles, and working together to solve the conflict. Most activities take place on the ground level, but the level of height may go anywhere from 2-12 feet in the air. No matter what the activity may be, remember that the focus of the activities is to have everyone work as a team.

Will you be required to participate?

We will try to put activities together that we feel everyone will enjoy, but we are not always able to find something everyone feels comfortable doing. If at any time you feel uncomfortable doing an activity and you decide you really don't want to participate, then you don't have to. We do encourage that all members do try to participate and go beyond their comfort level, but it is not required. You will be able to take any activity at your own pace.

When we say safety we mean it

When it comes to safety in RBE, we are serious. There are times when we do activities, that if someone is not following directions, someone can get hurt. You must follow instructions, act appropriately, and use good judgment while doing anything. We ask that you read, sign, and return to us the Medical Information Form and Release of Liability Form included on this website.

What are your responsibilities?

During your participation in the RBE Program, we ask that you work toward a set of goals, which includes safe fun, working together, taking care of yourself and others, and giving 100% efforts. In order to create the best experience for everyone, we ask that you also agree to uphold certain program standards. These include following all safety guidelines provided by instructors, using equipment only with proper supervision, supporting each other within the challenge by choice philosophy, and letting instructors know your concern and needs. Furthermore, we remind you to dress appropriately for your program and the weather of the day. (Please refer to the recommended clothing list on the second page of the Informed Consent form.)
