The South & West Washtenaw Consortium is responsible for delivering Career and Technical Education to the school districts of Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, Milan and Saline. Open primarily to 11th and 12th grade students, all CTE courses are designed to equip students with entry level skills needed to gain employment and also prepares them for post secondary training and education depending on the individual students desire. Many courses offer certifications that will enable the student to enter the job market at an elevated pay. Many CTE classes offer avanced placement college credit and articulate with local community colleges.

Augmenting the career and technical training students recieve are a number of professional student organizations that many of our classes are actively engaged in.

 

Skills USA - Michigan (VICA)

offers experiences in leadership and job preparation. Every year regional and state level skill competitions challenge our students in demonstrating their newly learned skill in a competitve environment.

D.E.C.A

a professional student organization for students enrolled in Marketing, management or entrepreneurship. District, State and international competitions challenge our students as they demonstrate their skills in a competitive environment with their peers from across the state and world.

F.F.A.

The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young people by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
