Agness Parker: Girl in Progress by Kathleen O'Dell
I would recommend it to any one who likes stories about an eleven year old who is having issues with her best friend Prejean, new friend Joe, and her worst enemy Peggy Neidermeyer. Agness gets new glassess, a cast, and eats poison candy! I read this book with my book club and we all thought it rocked!

Ali Baba Bernstein by Johanna Hurwitz
In the beginning of the story his name was David Bernstein and there were already three other Davids in his class. So he wanted to change his name. When his teacher Mrs. Booxbaum assigned a book project for the class, she said if you read a book over 100 pages long she'll give you extra credit for reading that many pages. Then David asked his mother if there were any books in the house over 100 pages and she said yes- a book called Ali Baba's Adventures. He also thought that would be a good name for him. That's all I can tell you now. If you want to read the book it's really good. Check it out!
It was a good book because there were a lot of funny names in it. It was also strange in a way because they had to kiss a frog and got warts from it.

Be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days by Stephen Manes
A book fell on Milo's head. It was "Be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days". He read it. He did what Dr. Silverfish said to do. He put a stalk of broccoli around his neck, didn't eat for a day and tried not to do anything for a day.
I liked it because it was funny and I never knew someone would do stuff like that!

The Herdman's are the craziest kids in Woodrow Wilson School. Imogene and Charlie steal Louella's baby brother Howie, and color on his head. When Woodrow Wilson school FINALLY wins an award from the fire department and gets a stuffed bear, the Herdmans dress it up with matches and a cigar in the paw. It's an exciting and funny book. The author's style of writing is making stories that make you want to read the book more. The Herdmans may be uncivilized, but they sure are funny! That's what makes a great book.

Beware of Dog by Bob Balaban
Beware of Dog is about a dog who got hit by a car and taken to a vet. A boy named Thomas took the dog in for 34 hours. Then he noticed that the surgery done on the dog gave him special powers.
What made me want to read this book was when you look on the back it says 'bionic to the bone' and I wanted to see what that meant. I thought the book was very funny at the end.

Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey
This is a book about George and Harold. George and Harold like to make comic books. Their best character is Captain Underpants. Then Mr. Kump their principal finds out that George and Harold were playing all the pranks. George turns Mr. Kump into Captain Underpants. Captain Underpants fights Diaper Man. Read the book if you want to find out how it ends.
This is a good book because when Dav Pilkey was young, he made comic books and that helped him make a book like this.

Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets by Dav Pilkey
It's hilarious! George and Harold are on one of there wackiest stories yet! They were just banned from the invention convention contest because of the last years glue incident. That night George and Harold went to go mess with everybody's invention. Melvin Sneedly got in their way and told the very next day. While spending their time in detention, they make a funny new comic book. If you want to find out what happens, read it yourself. Oh, and if you want to know what the comic is about, it's about Captain Underpants and the attack of the talking toilets.
This is a good book because it's about toilets, wacky inventions, and how George and Harold made their way to detention. It's a great book also because their principal, Mr. Krupp, is actually Captain Underpants--all because George and Harold hypnotized him to believe he's the world greatest super hero. Will they get out of this jam? Read to find out.

Captain Underpants and Professor Poopypants by Dav Pilkey
Well the thing that made me get into this book is because it has a weird title. This book is filled with lots of funny stuff. It has action and lots of laughs. This book is about a professor that has a funny name so when he tried to show them his inventions, they laugh at his name. So he makes the Shinny Pig 2000 and the Goosy Grow 400. You figure out the rest!
I like this book because it has funny stuff and weird things, like Captain Underpants and Professor Poopypants.

Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wiggie Woman
by Dav Pilkey
Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wiggie Woman was great. Dav Pilkey writes great novels. George and Harold created Captain Underpants and Wedgie Woman. The problem is Wedgie Woman tries to take over the world. When Harold and George show up the whole thing changes.
What makes this book good is the author's style of writing. I like the author's style of writing because he gives details and lots of them.

Donuthead by Sue Stauffacher
Franklin Donuthead, named after FDR, has some problems with safety, as well as his name. Everbody calls him Donuthead instead of Franklin. His problem is he's a safety freak and is very picky with food. He only eats organic fruits and vegetables. When the new kid, Sarah Cervick, comes and gives Martin Howerton a bloody nose, sits with Donuthead, and comes home with him, Donuthead couldn't stand it. With her dream to ice skate, and not being able to read, Donuthead helps her, and she defends him. Will he make it through life and gain even more friends? Read t find out!
It's a funny book and quite easy to read. But watch out if you don't like reading a few swear words. The author made it pretty simple to read, except for some nonsence from Franklin. The main characters are Franklin, Sarah Kervick, Mrs. Donuthead, Bernie and Gloria, who helps out Franklin when he's in need.

Double Fudge by Judy Blume
Fudge is obsessed with money. He's so obsessed that he starts making his own money and thinks he can buy the world. Fudge's bird, Uncle Feather, stops talking until he crashes into a kitchen cupboard. The Hatchers long lost cousins, aunt, and uncle meet in Washington D. C. They end up staying with the Hatchers for months. Peter does not know if he will last.
I think it is a really good gook because it is very funny. Peter is always very embarrassed when he is around Fudge. That makes it funny. One part of the book that makes it a good book is Fudge thinks he will be able to buy Washington D. C. He would call it Fudgeington.

Frindle by Andrew Clements
Nick Allen found a pen and started calling it "frindle". Everyone at his school started using his new word, all except Mrs. Granger. She hated the word. She tried to put an end to it by making kids stay after school. But it ended up going worldwide.
The author did a very good job at giving a lot of detail and making you feel like you were actually there.

This book is about a boy named Harry, who inherits a parrot from his great uncle. At first, Harry thinks Madison, the parrot's name, can't speak. Much to his surprise, Madison can talk just like humans and is intelligent. Harry and Madison have many adventures and fun times together.

Herbie Jones and the Monster Ball by Suzy Kline
Herbie and his friend are on Herbie's uncle's baseball team. They are the worst on the team, so they give themselves one syllable names like Herb Jones and Ray Mart. After striking out on the first day of practice Herb and Ray skip practice and go to the park. Funny things happen to these two boys.
Suzy can make a problem about anything. A sandwich, a letter, and a graded paper. Kline finds a funny way to solve it.

This book is about a girl named Cara and her class. They start a newspaper called "The Landry News." Meanwhile, her teacher, Mr. Larson, is supposedly a teacher, but does not teach. Then one day, the principal finds something inappropriate in their paper. Since Mr. Larson was responsible for it, he schedules a disciplinary hearing for him. Mr. Larson uses this as his chance to teach so he doesn't get fired...I'll let you find out the end!

Wallace Wallace was assigned a book report about Old Shep, My Pal, but he knew even before reading the first page the dog was going to die. The dog always dies. He wrote his report about what he thought of the book and his english teacher was furious. He was put in detention and had to stay after school with the drama club until he wrote a good report. They were doing the play Old Shep, My Pal. Then he made one suggestion about the script and the next thing he knew he was practically directing the play. A funny, humorous tale about one kid's perspective.
It's funny, humorous, and the author really explains the character's personalities. Just the type of book anyone would want to read.

Rotten School-The Big Blueberry Barf-Off by R. L. Stine
I chose this book because it looked gross! This book is about a boy, Belzler, who is trying to get a watch from another boy, Sherman. The watch is $500.00 and has 42 different functions and is pure gold. The two boys go to the same boarding school, but they go to separate dorms. They go through many things for that watch!
What makes this book great is they get to live in dorms at a boarding school away from home and they have no parents to tell them what to do. They also can convince the older people to do things you're not supposed to do, or eat unhealthy foods. For example, Belzler tells the cook that a Milky Way candy bar is a vegetable and they believe it.

Soup and Me by Robert Newton Peck
Soup and Me is about two boys who do some pretty funny things. At the beginning, they go skinny dipping and Janice Walker, the mean girl, steals their clothes. In the middle of the book, they build a tank to get back at Janice and drive it right into someone's nice garden. At the end they exchange presents and their teacher gets nothing so they try and ring her favorite bell.
The author is very funny and descriptive. I also liked how each chapter of the book was about a different season and he made something funny happen for each.

Soup's Uncle by Robert Peck
Soup, Rob, and Uncle Vi are the main characters in this book. Uncle Vi is in a motorcycle group called the Hard Boilers. Three of the Hard Boilers (includeing Uncle Vi) were going to steal some moonshine and become crooks. If they became crooks, Uncle Vi wouldn't be able to go to his wedding with Tacky.
Robert Peck makes this book super addicting. I would like to meet Soup or Uncle Vi because they seem so cool! I felt like I was dreaming a very cool story when I read this book. This book is in a series. I want to read more of this series.

There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom by Louis Sachar
Bradley is the meanest kid in school. Everyone doesn't like him, except for his new counselor. She thinks he's always nice! Will this change the way Bradley is?
I think that this is a good book because it's funny to read how Bradley changes from a bully to one of the nicest kids. It also makes you want to read it more and more.

The book is about three boys that travel to ancient Egypt by accident and one of the boy's sister and her cat get transported too. But they lose the sister. You will have to read the book to find out what happens next.
I really liked how the author made the boys say one thing and mean another. That made the book very funny.

Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger by Louis Sachar
Nobody was at Wayside School for 243 days, except for maybe Louis and a couple of cows. Louis had to fix the school, for everyone was interrupted by cows on a non-existent 19th story (don't ask)! Finally, the school re-opens and everyone, especially the students on the 30th story, are super glad. Even the teachers are glad to be back, but something was wrong with Mrs. Jewels, the teacher on the 30th story. She looked....different. To the students surprise, she was going to have a baby. Read what goes wrong (as usual) with everyone on the 30th story!
The characters are always being misunderstood-especially Todd, who is forever having to go home early on the kindergarten bus. Mrs. Jewels never knows what is going on, and their substitutes are different than they expected. Pet Day on the 30th floor made me laugh out loud when Stephen brought a pet orange named Fido, and Todd brought a little brother named Ralphie! Now that's weird! Constantly making jokes for all ages, Louis Sachar's books are an ultimate riot to read!!!!
