Custer's Last Stand by Quentin James Reynolds
This was a book about a boy who all his life wanted to be a general. His parents sent him to better school than he had been going to. They did this because the boy (George Custer) wanted to go to West Point. Autie was what everyone called him, worked very hard to get into West Point. Eventually he did and he ended up fighting in may wars and becoming a famous general.
I wanted to read this book because my mom told me he was related to me. Another reason is I like wars in history. I also like books from long ago.

Ellis Island by Patricia Ryan Quiri
It's about people that came from different countries to America. It will also tell you how many days it took (four weeks), how they let them come to America, and how they dressed. It also shows you a statue of the first person from a different country to set foot in America.
I think this book was good because I never knew how important this was to people and I liked seeing other people's clothes.

Elvis Presley: The King by Katherine E. Krohn
I love Elvis. His music is just so great. I like reading about him so I chose this book. It tells how he started getting unhealthy and eventually died. It's also about his childhood as a person stuck in poverty and how he came into music. I think it's an excellent book for Elivs fans and people who want to learn more about Elvis.
It's a good book because of all the descriptive language, and facts about his life as a child, adult, musician, singer, and a normal person. It tells about his friends and how they betrayed him. And about his love life, army service, and his fateful life as a person. That's why I think it's a good book.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was born January 15, 1929. One day when Martin was small he was playing with his friends. He was sent home because he was black and his friends were white. Martin studied about famous people. His favorite was Gandhi. He married Coretta . He became a minister just like his father. Martin made a famous speech in Washington, D. C. called "I Have a Dream."

Randall McDaniel Authorized biography by Mark Stewart
Randall McDaniel grew up being the athlete in the family. He never thought of himself as a smart person. He now goes to different elementary schools and gets kids intereseted in reading and other stuff. After he retires he wants to become a teacher. His goal was to play lineman for 10 years, that is much longer than an average lineman should last.
What I liked about this book is that the author doesn't skip around telling all these different things but he put the things in order from his childhood to adulthood.
